Prior to forming Land Law Firm, Denis has worked as a corporate lawyer in the field of land and property relations in a number of commercial companies, has headed the legal department of a large Moscow developer, and has headed the real estate practice in Russian law firms.
Denis advises clients on a wide range of land, civil and urban development law issues. He specializes in resolving complex disputes in the field of land, real estate, construction and contracting relations, legal support of projects for the construction of commercial and residential real estate, comprehensive support of projects for the redevelopment of industrial territories, support of major transactions, structuring investment projects in the field of real estate and construction, development of strategies for complex land use issues.
Denis’ experience is trusted by companies in key sectors of the economy: industrial holdings, construction and development companies, financial corporations and banks, Russian and foreign retailers, logistics and transport companies. EXPERT AND TEACHING ACTIVITIES
Denis has involved in the first privately owned deals on commercial land plots in Moscow and the Moscow Region. He is one of the first in Russia to apply in court the procedure for reducing the cadastral value for the purpose of optimizing lease payments for state-owned land. The judicial precedents created with the participation of Denis are currently actively used in practice by market participants.
He participated in the drafting of the draft law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation in terms of improving the state cadastral valuation”, participated in public discussions of the draft law on amendments to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation regarding the new system of property rights to land and a single real estate object.
Over 10 years Denis taught land law in a number of higher education institutions and became a co-author of the book “Land Law” and the author of more than 30 scientific articles devoted to practical legal issues of land and property relations.
For several years, he conducted a course of training seminars for representatives of government authorities of the Moscow region.
Denis has devised courses of lectures “Implementation and protection of rights to real estate” and “Legal features of land disputes review” for a number of higher educational institutions. He participated in the organization of the first moot courts in the field of land law and real estate.
Denis is a signatory to the Eurasian Convention “On Sustainable Development of the Real Estate Market”, 2018.
He has experience of speaking as a speaker and moderator at key legal conferences and forums organized by Pravo.ru, RBK, SibLegalWeek, Far Eastern Legal Forum, Russian Foundation for Educational Programs Economics and Management, IRSOT, etc.
